The Winter of Discontent

The winter of discontent

The seasons are changing and as we enter into the darker mornings and colder nights, the thoughts of winter come upon us along with those negative thoughts not yet fostered enough to ensure we are in control of our own self-made destiny.

Sitting on a flight from Frankfurt to Birmingham, having just read ‘As a Man Thinketh’ by James Allen, it’s clear to me that there is still much work to do on the self-sabotaging thoughts that my gate keeper is still allowing into my mind.

If I’m ever going to truly help people then I really have to do My True Work on me!

After all, It’s my responsibility to get my own thoughts into alignment with my goals and dreams to help others master their thinking to a better life…and I know I can because I got this far.

One thought that does seem to be dominating my mind at the moment is just how much negativity is out there, and how easy it is to pick up on the frequency and get into that downward spiral of doom and gloom. The universal energy seems to be shifting and many people are telling me that manifesting (good and bad) along with incredible synchronicity is happening with alarming speed, so be careful what you wish for!

This indicates right NOW is the time we absolutely must mind our thoughts and banish those that no longer serve us. Just remember to replace them with good ones that WILL serve you as it’s pretty easy to fill an empty mind, freed from banished negativity, with more crappy ones just by being in the environment.

My advice?

Find, write and read a list of affirmations daily that resonate with you and free you from stinking thinking in an instant. Especially those where you don’t feel good because something didn’t go right for you today!

Put on some music you like or better still read a book, listen to an audiobook or meditate.

Be and not do…even for a moment so you can notice what words are coming out of your mouth.

These are the words that will reveal what’s really fermenting in that subconscious of yours!

Most importantly, decide to take charge of your thoughts and make a decision to be happy… today:-)

I completely agree. Its best to appreciate what you do have rather than always being down about what you dont have. For a while I was upset with my mom because i was focused on what i wish she would be, rather than appreciating her for who she is. Since I wanted my mom to instantly change it made me unsatisfied and for some odd reason it made me have a little anger towards her. Once i noticed what my mom has done for me and how she does actually help me out alot, I apologized to her and now I have a better attitude with my mom and i appreciate her more and our relationship is positive.

I think your post is very thought provoking. Thanks for sharing your story…I appreciate your honesty and the wonderful way you have dealt with the situation. Whilst we may not be able to change a person, we can change our thoughts about them and ultimately change relationships for the better…
